PBD
Eindhoven
From January 2024 onward, PBD is separated after collection in Eindhoven. The special PBD containers will no longer be on the steeets. Residents of Eindhoven will put their PBD waste in the grey container or underground container for general waste.
Geldrop-Mierlo
In Geldrop-Mierlo, PBD waste is collected in plastic bags. The waste calendar shows the exact collection dates. Are you out of plastic bags? You can get new ones at the following points: Geldrop city hall, Geldrop waste recycling point and at the counter at Albert Heijn, Nettorama, Jumbo (Geldrop) and Plusmarkt (Mierlo).
Valkenswaard
Valkenswaard has recently started collecting PBD as well. The waste is collected in (underground) PBD containers. PBD can also be disposed in containers that just read 'plastic'. Make sure the bags aren't too big, or the container will be blocked. Never place the waste next to the container. This counts as waste dumping and can lead to a ticket. Is the container full or faulty? Report this through the BuitenBeter App or Cure customer service and take your bag home.
Always try the other PBD containers: in most cases, not all containers are full.
PBD bags are not distributed in Eindhoven and Valkenswaard. The municipal policy confirms this. The bags are not collected at the house and are too big for the containers.
Distributing bags is also costly. Cure invests in other ways to simplify waste collection, like accessible and functioning waste containers above and underground.
